The Mandalika Circuit is a transformative initiative with far-reaching implications, reflecting the government's commitment to balanced development in Indonesia. It creates opportunities, stimulates economic activity, and attracts investments to NTB.

By taking a comprehensive and sustainable approach, the government intends to ensure that the benefits of the Mandalika Circuit extend beyond the racing circuit itself, positively impacting the local communities and contributing to the overall progress of the nation.

Siagian's emphasis on the Mandalika Circuit as a long-term catalyst for equitable development aligns with Indonesia-centric goals. The government's investment aims to stimulate broad-based growth, enhance the regional economy, and contribute to national progress and prosperity.

Helson's statement in Jakarta on Friday was delivered in response to various criticisms of the construction of the Mandalika Circuit, which has left a debt of Rp4.6 trillion for PT Pengembangan Pariwisata Indonesia or Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC).

The meticulously planned development of the Mandalika Circuit aims to establish a new tourism center in NTB, showcasing President Jokowi's commitment to balanced development. Hosting international racing events like MotoGP and WSBK, the circuit generates significant and sustainable economic benefits.

The WSBK 2023 event showcased a positive impact on Indonesia's economy, generating Rp 5 trillion in economic activity. The development of the Mandalika Circuit will further solidify NTB as a sustainable Super Priority Tourism Destination.

Regarding the cancellation of the World Superbike (WSBK), according to Helson, it should not be a subject of controversy as there are still many international events that can be held at the Mandalika Circuit and attract tourists, such as the Porsche Challenge and L'Etape Indonesia by Tour de France.

"Of course, MotoGP as well," he said.
