NAM AIR Lombok-Bali route is operative, offering a cheap alternative to reach the first-class famous tourist destinations.  NAM Air is an Indonesian airline based in Jakarta and a subsidiary of Sriwijaya Air. The airline is listed as a Category 1 airline by Indonesia's Civil Aviation Authority: the highest status that can be achieved for operational safety.  The new service commenced on 27 July 2018 and will operate every day between the two popular tourism destinations. NAM Air flights use the "IN" IATA airline code. Flight In 682 departs from Denpasar, Bali at 18.10, arriving in Lombok at 18.50. In 683 departs Lombok at 1925, arriving in Bali at 20.05.  The new service commenced on 27 July 2018 and will operate every day between the two popular tourism destinations. NAM Air flights use the IN' IATA airline code. Flight IN 682 departs from Denpasar, Bali at 18.10, arriving in Lombok at 18.50. IN 683 departs Lombok at 19.25, arriving in Bali at 20.05. A spokesperson for the airline said that the evening flights were deliberately planned to allow passengers to connect with other flight routes owned by Sriwijaya Air Group and for travellers to make International flight connectors at night The airline uses Boeing 737-500 Winglets on Its routes with a capacity of 120 seats, consisting of 112 seats in Economy Class and 8 seats In Executive Class. This is welcome news for Lombok travellers, many of whom prefer to fly on larger jet aircraft. Garuda Airlines, which also operates three flights between Bali and Lombok daily, previously offered one flight per day onboard Boeing 737-800 aircraft and two flights per day on the smaller ATR 72 propeller aircraft. However, Garuda recently stopped using the Boeing 737-800 aircraft on the route every day, although the service does reappear Intermittently an some days. When contacted, Garuda were unable to confirm a set schedule for the Boeing aircraft at present. NAM Air ticket prices are economical in comparison to the other airlines serving the Bali-Lombok route, namely Garuda Airlines and Lion / Wings Air. One way flights currently start from Rp 391,000 (Economy) and Rp 714,000 (Business Executive). NAM Air also flies between Lombok International Airport and Sultan Salahuddh Airport in Bima (on Sumbawa, the neighbouring island to the east of Lombok). When it commenced the route an 7 February 2018, the airline made aviation history by being the first airline to use large-bodied jet aircraft on flights between Lombok and Sumbawa.
