NTB Govt Accelerates MXGP Prep In Sumbawa & Lombok

The NTB Provincial Government is accelerating preparations for two Motocross Grand Prix (MXGP) events to be held on Sumbawa and Lombok Island respectively.

The Indonesian MXGP race series will begin on Sumbawa Island, with a circuit located in the Samota area of Sumbawa Regency, on June 25th. Afterward, it will shift to Lombok Island on July 2nd. For the Lombok race, MXGP is likely to be held at the former Selaparang Airport in the city of Mataram.

Zul stated that MXGP is not just a world-class racing event, and it is not intended to enrich the organizing committee. "This event is a catalyst for the economy in NTB to have a good system," he said.

With the holding of MXGP, the government is also improving various racing-supporting infrastructure. Moreover, in the field of economics, according to Zul, improving infrastructure is one of the efforts that can support economic growth.
