The NTB Provincial Government is accelerating preparations for two Motocross Grand Prix (MXGP) events to be held on Sumbawa and Lombok Island respectively. "We have already held preliminary meetings. God willing, everything will run smoothly," said NTB Governor Zulkieflimansyah.

The Indonesian MXGP race series will begin on Sumbawa Island, with a circuit located in the Samota area of Sumbawa Regency, on June 25th. Afterward, it will shift to Lombok Island on July 2nd. For the Lombok race, MXGP is likely to be held at the former Selaparang Airport in the city of Mataram.

From those three locations, MXGP has the potential to be held at the former Selaparang Airport. The chance even reaches 99 percent. We just have to wait for the official release from the Indonesian MXGP series organizer, SEG.

Jack stated that IMI NTB has inventoried all the facilities and infrastructure at each venue. The document was then handed over to SEG, so that they could consider the selection of the MXGP race location in Lombok.

"It is most likely at the former Selaparang airport due to several considerations from Infront," he said.
